Josiah-Jordan James

The 6'6" (198 cm) versatile wing arrives at the BNZ Breakers following an impactful time with Israeli Premier League powerhouse Hapoel Jerusalem,where he competed in both domestic play and the EuroCup.

James brings an exceptional basketball pedigree and elite physical profile to the BNZ Breakers' rotation.

A former 5-star recruit and McDonald’s All-American coming out of high school in South Carolina, James went on to craft a historic five-year career at the University of Tennessee under head coach Rick Barnes.

At Tennessee, James established himself as a fierce perimeter defender and high-IQ playmaker, becoming one of only two players in programme history to accumulate over 1,250 points, 800 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 steals,and 100 blocks .

In his final year at Tennessee (2023-24) he started all 36 games and averaged 8.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2 assists per game as the Volunteers went all the way to the Elite Eight at the NCAA Tournament.

Following his decorated collegiate career, James made his professional debut in the NBA G League with the Indiana Mad Ants before transitioning to Hapoel Jerusalem.

Additionally he was a member of the USA gold medal winning team at the 2018 FIBA U18 Americas Championships.
