Dejan Vasiljevic

DJ Vasiljevic links with the BNZ Breakers having played 178 games across six previous seasons in the NBL. He initially played three seasons for the Sydney Kings – winning two championships – and followed that with the last three seasons at the Adelaide 36ers.

A third championship for DJ looked a strong possibility last season as the 36ers progressed all the way to the Grand Final series only to fall just short as they lost the best of five series to Sydney Kings 3-2.

A co-captain of the team, DJ played all 41 games for the 36erslast season scoring 445 points at 10.5 points per game including a season high27 points in the semi-final series decider against South East Melbourne Phoenix. An 80% free-throw exponent he made 36% of his three-point attempts last season.

Canadian born, of Serbian parents, the vastly experienced shooting guard played four years of NCAA Division I basketball at the University of Miami and has also made a number of appearances in the green and gold singlet for the Australian Boomers including the 2025 Trans-Tasman series against the Tall Blacks.

Vasiljevic has also had a couple of stints in the NBA Summer League playing with the Phoenix Suns in 2022and the Washington Wizards in 2023.
