Izayah Le'Afa

Will embark on his seventh NBL season – his fourth with the BNZ Breakers– in the 2026-27 campaign.

His 2025-26 season with the Breakers was restricted to just 15games due to a season ending ACL injury. In total has played 80 games for the club scoring 636 points. His career high 21 points was scored against the Brisbane Bullets in 2022.

The combo guard has previously played for South East Melbourne Phoenix and Sydney Kings. 

Played 9 games for NZNBL runners-up Wellington Saints in 2026 – averaged 9.2 points and 7.6 assists per game.

Named 2025 NZNBL Most Outstanding New Zealand Guard after averaging 15.6 points and 5.9 assists per game for the Championship winning Wellington Saints.

At just 16 years and 262 days he became the second youngest player to put on a Tall Blacks singlet when debuting in 2013 and has subsequently made29 appearances in the black singlet..

Following his high school years at St Pat’s College, Wellington he headed to Sacramento State University on a 4-year scholarship. He finished his Hornets career in 2020 as a Top 10programme leader in a variety of statistical categories including second in starts (108), fourth in steals (149), sixth in 3-pointers made (187), and eighth in assists (302). His 941 career points ranks 20th all-time.
