Overview

The New Zealand born big man comes from a strong sporting background. The 6’10” forward is a descendant of one of the founding fathers of New Zealand rugby,Thomas Ellison. His aunt Brenda Ellison (nee Roberts) played over 50 games for the Tall Ferns between 1982 and 1988, whilst uncle Riki Ellison won three NFL championships with the San Francisco 49ers during the 1980’s. In addition Anzac’s father Allen Ellison, and uncle Morris Roberts,both played for the Maori All Blacks.

Anzac was a Development Player with South East Melbourne Phoenix in 2022-23 and 2023-24. and hit the floor on five occasions, but it was being in the professional environment for the first time that enhanced his development as he continued to grow as a player already with great tools standing 6'10.

Out of Auckland Grammar School, Rissetto earned a scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he played 33 games over two seasons (2019-21) for the 49ers.

He links up with the Breakers after spending a second season with Tauranga Whai in the NZNBL having also had stints with Wellington Saints, Franklin Bulls, Nelson Giants and Taranaki Airs.

Won a German Pro A League Championship with Phoenix Hagen in the 2025-26 season.
