Zuru's Nick Mowbray and Julian Savea Latest Additions to Manuka Doctor All-Star Celeb Slam

The Sky Sport Breakers are proud to announce Zuru Entrepreneur Nick Mowbray and World Cup-winning All Blacks winger Julian Savea as new players in the Manuka Doctor All-Star Celeb Slam at Spark Arena next Thursday.
Mowbray replaces boxer Junior Fa in Finn Delany’s team, while a decision on which team Savea plays for will be made closer to the game.
It was revealed earlier today that Fa is unwell, and his highly publicised bout with Joseph Parker at Spark Arena on December 12 is postponed.
That means the Manuka Doctor All-Star Celeb Slam will be the last major sporting event for Aucklanders to attend in 2020.
Net proceeds from the charity game will go to Starship Children’s Hospital.
In an interview with UFC fighter Kai Kara-France, for his social media channels, Mowbray says he has his eye on one person in particular in the opposition team.
"I'm just looking forward to going up against big David Seymour," Mowbray told Kara-France.
"We've got Chloe (Swarbrick) in our side and I think that's going to be the match-up," he said.
“It’s a shame Junior can’t play, but we wish him a speedy recovery," says Sky Sport Breakers owner Matt Walsh.
“However, the event loses nothing with the inclusion of another All Blacks Great in Julian, joining Carlos Spencer and Liam Messam, and an entrepreneur whose known around the world for his generosity.”
Today, Mowbray has made international headlines with Hollywood movie star Blake Lively praising him on Instagram for donating nappies, toys, and masks to the US Covid-19 relief effort.
Lively, who is married to fellow Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds, says she called her “friend” Mowbray in May.
The kiwi arranged to have more than a quarter of a million nappies from Kiwi brand Rascal & Friends, which Zuru distributes internationally, sent to hospitals in the states.
In her Instagram post, Lively has described Mowbray’s actions as “heroic.”
“Nick’s generosity has no limits,” said Walsh.
“No one should be surprised Nick reached out to be involved with our charity event, and Finn Delany is lucky to have him on his team – because I’m told he can play.”
Mowbray and Savea join a “whos’s who” of New Zealanders in the game, including Silver Ferns Great Irene van Dyk, Multi award-winning artist Benee, Warriors Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, and all the Sky Sport Breakers stars.
