Jackson-Cartwright Ruled Out With Injury

BNZ Breakers point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright will misstonight’s clash with the Wildcats in Perth due to a lower leg injury and willlikely miss the following games on the current road trip against Sydney(Wednesday 14th) and Tasmania (Sunday 18th).
Initially named in the roster to face Perth but listed as agame day decision, Jackson-Cartwright was ruled out in the hours leading up totip off, with BNZ Breakers President of Basketball Dillon Boucher saying theclub is playing the long game with their talismanic on-court general.
“As with any player at the club, our priority is theirhealth and wellbeing and, in this case, we are taking a cautionary approachwith Parker. Our medical team havecaught this early and will manage and monitor him carefully over the next fewweeks.”
News of Jackson-Cartwright’s late withdrawal in Perth comesjust hours after the club confirmed the signing of German International guardNelson Weidemann, joining Mojave King as injury cover players for Preston LeGassick and Josiah-Jordan James.
Wiedemann is a possibility to join the team on their currentthree-game Australian road trip, subject to confirmation of necessary visa andmedical clearances.
