BNZ Breakers Pre-Season Begins

The new look BNZ Breakers take to the skies today, Sydney bound for their first pre-season game of NBL25. 

Three weeks ago, this was a group of relative strangers, but they are far from that today.  

“The last few weeks we have practiced well. Step by step the players are getting to know each other, getting on the same page both offensively and defensively,” said Coach Kop. 

“I am really happy with the effort of the group.

“We have a great bunch of guys, and now it is an interesting test against one of the best teams in the league. We will see where we are at, where we need to improve. 

“I am really excited for the first trip with the team.”

It is not only the players who are new to each other, with the coaching and performance team also finding their way as a working group. 

“Three weeks is not a long time by any means," says CEO, Lisa Edser.

"The synergy forged in such a brief period is a testament to our potential. I couldn't have asked for a more promising start."

The BNZ Breakers play the Sydney Kings at Sydney Olympic Park’s Quaycentre, Friday 30 August 7:30pm AEST/9:30pm NZT. Limited tickets remain available to purchase, and the game will be streamed live on the BNZ Breakers Facebook page.
